 Been playing blues since my earliest guitar playing days and I try to interpret the blues from my own lived experiences and nit as a pastiche of what has gone before. I am influenced by other genres too, including rock, jazz, soul and world music. My songs are not necessarily autobiographical and I like to tell stories.

 I have been fortunate enough to live through some of the most amazing years in music - but doesn’t every age feel that? Possibly. Anyway, I am the writer of a Substack series called Love Me Do 2 Hotel California which explores music and life from 1962 until around 1976/7. As I have said before, I am not nostalgic but would rather be in my 20s in the 70s than the other way around! What a surprise.

 My first novel, which I hope to have published in 2027, is called Resurrection and Retribution. It’s about an ex soldier and undercover operative who is brought back from the edge by opportunity, a shabby detective inspector and love.
